DAY 1

HANOI ARRIVAL – HANOI CITY TOUR

Greetings from Vietnam’s Capital City, Hanoi!
The local tour guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the downtown area. Register at the hotel. Visit Ba Dinh Square in the afternoon. This is Hanoi’s largest square and the site of all the city’s major political and cultural events, particularly protests. We begin our tour with the Ho Chi Minh complex, which includes the one-pillar pagoda, the house on stilts, the fish pond, and the mausoleum (which is only open from the exterior since it closes in the afternoon). Next, pay a visit to the Temple of Literature, which is regarded as Vietnam’s first university.
Afterwards, we take an hour-long cyclo tour of the historic part of Hanoi and the Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as the “Sword” Lake, to get a general overview of the capital. From here, explore the old Quarter’s winding streets to get a taste of the locals’ everyday lives.
Suggested nighttime activities include sampling the local beer at Ta Hien Streets and taking in the atmosphere of the busy street. The youthful population of Hanoi as well as foreign visitors with live music. You can also choose from among the hundreds of taverns and pubs in the Old Quarter, or you can just hang out at malls and other boutiques.

DAY 2

HANOI – NINH BINH – HOA LU – TAM COC (B/L) – SIC TOUR

Eat breakfast at the lodging. Ninety kilometers south of Hanoi is Ninh Binh, the location of the sole capital city of ancient Vietnam prior to Hanoi’s ascendancy to prominence in the eleventh century. Numerous well-known sights may be found in the area, such as the Tam Coc Caves and the historic capital of Hoa Lu with its ancient temples. Dedicated to the 10th-century monarchs, Dinh and Le. The first part of the trip to Ninh Binh is a boat ride in TAM COC, where breathtaking limestone karsts rise out of the verdant paddy fields, evoking memories of Guilin, China, and Vietnam’s Halong Bay, hence the moniker “halong-bay-on-land.”

DAY 3

HANOI – HALONG – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D) – SHUTTLE BUS

Check out after breakfast at the hotel.
Halong Bay, the crown jewel of the Gulf of Tonkin, is three hours away by car. UNESCO recognized it as a Natural World Heritage site in 1994 and 2006. The route will go through rural villages and the verdant paddy fields of the Red River delta, where industrious farmers are working hard to plant seedlings or plough buffaloes. When you get to Halong, register for the overnight cruise.
Explore the breathtaking splendor of this “Descending-dragon” bay, which is made up of karst grottoes and thousands of oddly carved limestone boulders. Following a meal on board, we can explore the Grottos, take a dip or go kayaking, pass by floating homes, and go up close to the islets to take in their beauty. Return aboard the cruise liner and take in a cookery demonstration prior to dinner. Attend events aboard the boat in the evening or unwind on your own.

DAY 4

HALONG BAY – HANOI (BR) – SHUTLLE BUS

To enjoy the early morning dawn on the sea, you should get up early. It is not surprising that witnessing the sunrise over the Bay’s islets is considered magical, as the Vietnamese refer to the “East Sea” by its pointed name, the “Eastern Sea.” Following breakfast, our boat will sail through stunning regions where practically every islet has been given a unique name based on its shape or historical significance, such as Sail Island, Fisherman’s Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Island, etc.
After checking out, have lunch on board as the boat returns to the pier. After the cruise, disembark and return to Hanoi. After checking into the hotel, take some time to relax.

DAY 5

SAIGON – DEPARTURE (B)

Hotel breakfast.
Enjoy your free time until it’s time to check out and head to the airport to catch your trip back to your original location.
Breakfast is served at the hotel.
